Today we were talking a lot about stress related situations on the mound and the pressure to throw just 3 perfect pitches. The Winter Olmpic Athletes deal with lots of pressure their in front of millions of opioniated people. Is there any comparrison to these situations? The athletes that compete in the Olmpics risk their lives by putting themselves in dangerous and scary situations. Us as pitchers put ourselves in a situation where all eyes are on us. We have something alike with these other athletes they choose to put themselves in these situations and so do we, we do this because we love softball as do the Olymic athletes love what they do. They may love it for the thrill or the attention or the danger running through their bodies but we both know that you never want to give up something you love no matter what hurt it may cause you.
