Cheers to Cheering

May 7th, 2010

We all know that cheering is a key part to having a great game in softball. If you're down in the game a nice cheer will encourage the team a little bit. Our last game in the last inning we were down 9 runs, we could of just shriveled up and try to forget the game, but we decided to put on our rally caps and stay positive. Ten players being there we would try to all score one run each. In the end we made a nice comeback and scored 7 runs! We couldn't of done it without cheering and staying positive!

Photographs

March 6th 2010

Every photograph gives you a clue to how to live your life, the meaning of each photograph taken is so powerful. A softball game is just like a picture. We use our games to help make the game picture perfect. If you ever watch a good softball game you know what a good picture looks like. A picture captures the moment, every picture that is taken in a game or just in life I want it to be a victorious moment or one I will never forget.

Good sportsmanship

March 6th 2010:

Good sportsmansh
ip the key to a good attitude. Always be the team leader and set a good example for your teammates. In life you always have a role model or someone you look up to, as a player of any team it is your role to be someone looked up to. Through wins and losses you always have to have a smile on your face. Tears should be the result of injury or joy, never for being upset. We are pitchers and on our off days it feels as if the whole team looks down on us but the trick is to not look back like others but always look forward and stay positive.

Barrington Softball Academy

B.S.A (Barrinton Softball Academy) is a great organization. It teaches young softball players techniques for different skills. Going through the clinics has taught us so much and it was definately the funnest lesson we've ever gone to. I reccomend it to all that are between the grades of Kindergarten-8th.

Winter Olmpic Athletes

February 13th 2010:

Today we were talking a lot about stress related situations on the mound and the pressure to throw just 3 perfect pitches. The Winter Olmpic Athletes deal with lots of pressure their in front of millions of opioniated people. Is there any comparrison to these situations? The athletes that compete in the Olmpics risk their lives by putting themselves in dangerous and scary situations. Us as pitchers put ourselves in a situation where all eyes are on us. We have something alike with these other athletes they choose to put themselves in these situations and so do we, we do this because we love softball as do the Olymic athletes love what they do. They may love it for the thrill or the attention or the danger running through their bodies but we both know that you never want to give up something you love no matter what hurt it may cause you.
